The Morphettville Racecourse was host to one of its most prestigious events on the horse racing calendar on Saturday – the South Australian Oaks Day, and saw the $100,000 Group 3 South Australian Oaks (2400m) dominate the proceedings.
Also known as the Sportingbet Classic, the race saw 14 three-year-old fillies start, with the Patrick Payne-trained Danaupair Starlet claiming a prolific win.

The 2010 SA Oaks winner may now be returning to Adelaide to compete in the Adelaide Cup next year.
The winning filly finished a length ahead of Gallant Lady, while favourite going into the race – Ipioga came in third place, just under a length away.
Also taking place on Saturday alongside the 2010 SA Oaks was the $100,000 Group 3 SA Sires Produce Stakes (1400m).
